Teresa Lanceta received a BA in History and a PhD in Art History, and has lived in Barcelona, Alicante, Madrid, Seville, and Marrakech. She currently lives and works in Alicante, Spain. Selected solo exhibitions include Teresa Lanceta: 'Madraza 1349-2024' at La Madraza Centro de Cultura Contemporánea, Madrid (2024-25); Teresa Lanceta: 'La mémoire tissée' at Musée d’art moderne de Céret, France (2024); Teresa Lanceta: 'El sueño de la cólcedra' (2024) at Patio Herreriano, Valladolid, Spain; and the comprehensive survey Teresa Lanceta: 'Weaving as Open Source' at Museu d’Art Contemporani de Barcelona (2022) and The Institut Valencià d'Art Modern (2022-23). A major presentation of Lanceta's textiles and exploration into the fiber histories of Spain will open at the Museo Arqueológico Nacional, Madrid, in June of 2026.
