Both 'San Martín' and 'Azul' exalt the technique of weaving as a carrier of content and language, specifically in the form of the diagonal. Azul was made in Madrid, during a period in which Lanceta considered more deeply the idea of geometry as a manifestation of life itself. She produced Azul after arriving in the city from the Canary Islands, where she had lived for two years, and found herself seeking the blue of the sea in all places.
